Maine University is a public institution that was established in 1865. The school has a total of 9,365 of undergraduate enrollment, it has a rural setting with a campus size of 660 acres. There are about 90 undergraduate majors and over 70 master’s degree programs students can choose from at the University of Maine. This include Business, Engineering, Law as well as Education. Students at the university participate in many annual events. There are faculty and staff volunteers that great new freshmen students when they move into the dorm for the first time. They help them move in and direct traffic as part of the Maine Hello Program.

The school has a day set aside for Maine Day, on this day, classes are canceled and the university community hosts a parade, and then everyone assist in cleaning the campus. The university which is also known as UMaine, has more than 200 student organizations and about 25 fraternities and sororities for students to join.

International Presidential Scholarships For Undergraduate Students In USA

Eligibility Criteria: 

The scholarships is awarded to international students for 2020 academic session. It is hosted in United States of  American and strictly for undergraduate students. To be considered for this award, international students must meet the following:

  • Must be an international first-year and transfer undergraduate students
  • You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are already receiving the Canadian resident tuition rate.
  • Sponsored students are not eligible for this award.

Selection Criteria:

The International Presidential Scholarship is awarded to the top tier of international applications each year. Female applicants and applicants from countries underrepresented in the University of Maine international student population are strongly encouraged to apply.

Value of Scholarship: $15,000

Duration of Scholarship: The scholarship has a maximum of 8 semesters (that is 4 academic years) for a student who is entering as a first-year applicant and 6 semesters (that is 3 academic years) for a transfer student.

How to Apply For The International Presidential Scholarships: 

Applicants are automatically considered for this scholarship when their application for admission is reviewed. There is no additional application required for this award. Applicants are not required to submit SAT and ACT scores to be considered for this award.
